We are currently recruiting a band 5 Occupational Therapist to work on Chebsey ward, an adult inpatient mental health ward based at St Georges Hospital in Stafford. Chebsey is a 20 bedded mixed gender ward. You will be part of a supportive occupational therapy team who work across the other inpatient wards in the hospital.
Successful applicants will be able to function autonomously in multidisciplinary teams, with supervision from other experienced occupational therapy practitioners. There will be an expectation that the post holder will work flexibly, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and effective clinical reasoning. The post will involve taking responsibility for your own OT caseload of patients on the ward delivering a wide range of assessment and treatment options. The environment can be fast paced and challenging, however, it is highly rewarding. Your role will also involve working with other agencies, families, carers and local communities.
