Psychological Therapist / Nurse Therapist - Band 7

The service has recently secured substantial funding to transform community services for adults with severe eating disorders. We are significantly increasing our capacity to provide assessment and treatment for patients and their carers.

We would welcome applicants who are as excited as we are by this service development and the opportunity it provides to improve patient care, reduce the need for inpatient admission/length of stay, and contribute to the evidence base to find effective ways to help this population. We would of course welcome experienced clinicians, but we are also keen to develop the skills and experience of staff who are new to the field, through training, supervision, and the opportunity to work alongside our existing experienced clinical MDT.

This significant expansion of the service will provide you with an opportunity to contribute to shaping and evaluating new ways of working in the field.

Please note many Trust interviews are currently taking place through Microsoft Teams, this can be downloaded either through the App Store or Google Play for use on your phone/tablet.

You will be part of an expanding multi-disciplinary team. Our current team members have an international reputation for the treatment of people with an eating disorder. We have strong links with our colleagues in our local Children and Young People's Eating Disorder services and our adult Mild to Moderate Eating Disorder service and aspire to an all age ED community service. There will be opportunities to work with these colleagues to develop your knowledge and skills in working with clients transitioning between services.
