Are you looking for a varied working environment? Would you like to develop your knowledge and experience of immunisations? Do you want to work term time only?
If you answered “yes” to all of the above, then being part of our expanding immunisation team could be the right opportunity for you.
We are looking for a number of experienced Community Vaccinators with up to date immunisation experience to help deliver the School Aged Immunisation Programme in Primary, Secondary and Independent Schools as well as other community venues.
The ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the Service is essential, as is a willingness to explore alternative methods of immunisation delivery to reduce health inequalities in hard to reach groups.
You will be offered the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills through regular training and study days and by working alongside experienced colleagues.
Applicants should be well organised with excellent communication skills. Good IT skills will provide a considerable advantage as use of an electronic consent system, and experience of working in schools or other environments with children and young people will also be helpful. This is a fast moving and very busy environment to work in so the ability to work well under pressure and to be a key team player is a must. We are looking for adaptable, flexible people with excellent skills who will enjoy working in a challenging and busy environment.
To ensure vaccination sessions commence on time the postholder may need to start from 07:45 on prearranged days, therefore flexibility in start times is required.
