An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join a dynamic and supportive Multi-disciplinary Team on the Medical Assessment Unit.
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses who are wanting to take the next step in their career. There has never been a better time to join the motivated team on the Medical Assessment Unit, with expanded capacity and new patient pathways.
With our in hours education team, we provide ongoing education and training to support all members of the Multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The Medical Assessment Unit receives patients from the Emergency Department, GP surgeries and specialist clinics. Working on the Medical Assessment Unit you will see patients with a wide variety of conditions and will gain experience from many specialities.
Applicants will need to be compassionate, dynamic, reliable and flexible with an ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills and demonstrable post registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
Applicants will need to be able to adjust, readily to different situations and be able to work the full range of shifts including long days and nights.
We pride ourselves on developing our staff and you will be supported by our Departmental Education Team. Dedicated training support enables us to provide you with an excellent induction, support with re-validation and an ongoing training package. We have development pathways for all different interests and a support network to help you achieve.
We would recommend that you attend for an informal visit to the unit and to meet some of the team.
