As an Occupational Therapist at Langdon Hospital, you will play a key role in supporting our patients’ recovery through occupationally focused assessments, interventions and outcomes that are needs-led and evidence-based. This band 5 role covers the Langdon Hospital site, providing you with an opportunity to work within our medium and low secure services, as well as our open rehabilitation units.
You will also have opportunities to develop a wide range of clinical skills as well as supervising support staff and students. You will be encouraged to contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives as well as participating in learning and professional development. About you
You will possess a degree in Occupational Therapy or a Diploma from COT. Newly qualified occupational therapists are welcome to apply (we have an established preceptorship programme that will support your learning and development post-qualifying).
A positive and open attitude to multidisciplinary working is vital as is a strong patient focus and a desire to provide excellent support to people who use our services.

We have 2 Local Delivery Units (LDUs) at various locations across South Devon including our Inpatient, Community Forensic and Criminal Justice Services as well as our Prison Mental Health Teams.
The Directorate supports people who, as a result of their mental health issues, have had contact with the legal system and need a safe and secure environment that enables them to receive a wide range of treatments, therapies and care to help them recover. This includes contact within Liaison and Diversion services; assessment and treatment within our 3 Devon prisons; secure inpatient care and discharge into the community. About us
