We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our Cancer Services.
The Cancer Educator will work with professionals across all disciplines, health and social care and other organisations to train and educate individuals and teams to deliver excellent cancer care and support to anyone affected by cancer. They will contribute to the delivery of the national cancer agenda.
Main duties of the job
The Cancer Clinical Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and resources for healthcare professionals involved in cancer care. This role aims to enhance clinical competencies, promote evidence-based practice, and improve patient outcomes through high-quality education and training.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with clinical teams and other clinical educators in the Trust, to provide high quality, patient centred, research based education that ensures the delivery of high quality care for patients delivered by staff who have the required education and development to meet the patient needs in accordance with individual scope of professional practice , guidelines and code of conduct and standards which is defined by their UK regulator ( NMC / HCPC).
Develop and regularly review a training needs analysis for the teams responsible for delivering personalised care to patients.
Ensure effective and tactful two way communication of complex and sensitive information, related to individual's performance.
Able to utilise a range of interpersonal skills to deliver training including listening to others and sharing information.
