Looked After Children's Nurse Band 6, 30 hours all year round.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Experienced Band 6 Nurse to join the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Looked After Children's Team in the Monmouthshire area.
The candidate should be a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Level 6 Nurse. They will have excellent knowledge and skills of working with children, young people and their carers.
The post holder will have responsibility for assessing the health needs of Looked After Children in any part of ABUHB or outside Gwent in either their placement address or in a clinic setting. They will require excellent communication and documentation skills and will work as part of multidisciplinary team to promote and support the protection, health and wellbeing of Looked After Children using statutory guidance, legislation and Aneurin Bevan University Health Board policies and procedures.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:-
Have professional responsibility for assessing the health needs of Looked after Children. This will include assessing, implementing and evaluating health care offered to children.
Have a high degree of autonomy and professional accountability.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to promote and support the protection, health and wellbeing of children looked after, statutory guidance, legislation and Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) policies and protocols.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
