An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic qualified optometrist to join our team at Royal Derby Hospital on a Monday. This post would suit newly qualified practitioners or those who would like to expand the variety of work they do by working a day in the hospital.

Our Trust also runs clinics at both Ripley and Ilkeston Hospitals. The successful candidate will need to have the flexibility to attend paediatric clinic on these sites.

Main duties of the job

The role involves post-op cataract assessment, diagnostic refraction and assessment of patients with keratoconus.

The role involved post-op cataract assessment, diagnostic refraction of many types of patients with ocular pathology. Assessment as well as monitoring of patients with keratoconus as well as other core optometric duties that may arise.
