The Learning Disability Division is part of a wider Service Group that works closely with Mental Health colleagues. Our specialist services extend across 3 health board areas.

Our specialist epilepsy services are provided across the whole of this footprint which includes in to Cardiff and Vale, Cwm Taf Morgannwg and Swansea Bay University Health Board areas.

Main duties of the job

This is an ideal opportunity for an RNLD to develop specialist skills in the care of people with a Learning Disability and Epilepsy.

The successful candidate will work as part of our specialist epilepsy services providing expert care to people with the most complex needs.

You will work with service users, their family and support systems to help reduce risk and the impact of their diagnosis. The post requires excellent communication skills and an ability to educate others.

Person Specification English Essential
  • Substantial post registration (RNLD) experience
  • Previous band 6 Experience
  • Evidence of working with those with complex health needs
  • Evidence of passing on of knowledge and skills to others
  • Evidence of development of specialist interest in Epilepsy
English Desirable
  • Evidence of post basic study in the care of people with epilepsy
