A Deputy Ward Manager is required
To coordinate a 6 bedded hyper acute stroke unit and a 22 bedded stroke ward.
If you are self-motivated enthusiastic and want to develop your management and leadership skills this is an ideal opportunity.
To provide clinical and managerial support to the ward manager by maintaining high quality holistic care to patients nursed within the Stroke unit.
To utilise clinical expertise in the delivery of care to stroke patients.
To provide clinical support, guidance and education to junior nursing and medical staff.
Main duties of the job
We are a twenty eight bedded Stroke unit providing hyper-acute, acute and rehabilitation as part of an interdisciplinary team to patients who have suffered a stroke. This is an exciting time in the development of the stroke services for patients in Lincolnshire and the successful candidate will be an integral part of taking the stroke service forward.
The role will involve working as part of an established multi- disciplinary team. Deputising in the ward mangers absence and gaining valuable experience in management and leadership with support and appropriate training.
Actively contribute in the development of the stroke unit service through identification and implementation of training programmes for all ward staff.
Identify shortfalls and report to ward manager.
You must be a registered nurse level 1
