Come and join Redbridge CAMHS to: Accept a role with protected OT work. Undertake comprehensive OT assessments and intervention. Promote recovery, social inclusion, relapse prevention, holistic health, and wellbeing. Facilitate and provide group interventions. Want to make personalised care a reality. Promote and actively enable co-production in service delivery. Work as part of an integrated team ensuring regular evaluation of individual care and recovery plans. Undertake generic mental health assessments. Further develop your leadership skills.In line with our aim to promote recovery, the successful Occupational Therapist will receive protected OT specific work with half thecaseload consisting of dedicated OT specific work and half caseload as an OT care coordinator.Occupational Therapy has a key role to play within the team, taking the lead on promoting a recovery focused culture and maintaining a strongnetwork with other statutory and non-statutory services to enable improved social inclusion outcomes for service users.The teams operational working hours is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm although some flexibility may be needed, and a car driver would bedesirable but not essential for the role.The post is full time, offering excellent opportunities to develop individual professional interests.We are a supportive team, and the post holder would have support from the leadership team ,
you would would be invited to attend the Occupational Therapy mental health network in the borough that meets regularly to provide peer support.Quality Improvement is promoted and there are opportunities for participating and leading on service development projects.Please refer to the attached job description for further details on this vacancy.

Main duties of the job
- To be compassionate in meeting the needs of clients, their carers and families.
- To provide highly specialist OT advice to members of the multidisciplinary team.
- To use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with children and their families/carers in order to progress their treatment programmes, and to ensure an understanding of their condition/problem in order to maximise their functional potential.
- To attend relevant Education, Health and Care Plan meetings (EHCP) and any other relevant forums to share information.
- To communicate sensitive information to children and parent/carers in an empathetic way about conditions that may have significant impact on future functional abilities and quality of life.
- To undertake CAMHS initial assessments and risk assessments.
- To provide consultation to other members of the MDT internal and external to CAMHS

- Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

- To have proven and significant experience of working with people with complex, acute mental health needs
- To have experience of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating aspects of care.
