An new, exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen to join our robust, dynamic, highly skilled, dedicated and friendly team within St Ann's Eating Disorder Service as a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist.
This role is varied, interesting and crucial to ensuring excellent patient experience every step of the way. This role will support the service in ensuring patients receive a high quality of care throughout their journey with services.
Main duties of the job
Perform specialist personalised, assessment and higher level discussion of patients holistic needs, resulting in personalised care planning and evaluation of care delivery using advanced clinical knowledge and clinical skills.
Demonstrate higher level clinical care by managing a patient caseload providing expert assessment, planning and treatment.
support the nurse-led clinics (within Specialty).
Contribute towards a multi-professional approach in the management of patients within the specialist area, especially in relation to ongoing care needs and discharge arrangements, including providing access to community support.
Establish and maintain effective communication with patients and carers / relatives.
Support patients and their families and ensure that they receive the required information to enable them to self manage, lead or participate in their care delivery.
Recognise changes in patients condition that require the intervention of others and case manage/refer on as appropriate.
To support, assist and encourage the multi-disciplinary team in resolving patient problems, by the provision of new and innovative models of case management.
To support the specialist nursing contribution to the service, in the delivery of high standards of patient care and the specialist nursing contribution to the service, work in partnership with lead clinicians, Psychology lead, dietetic lead, therapies lead and management.

- BSc Degree qualification in nursing
- Professional qualifications and NMC registration in Adult Nursing, Evidence of professional registration

- Evidence of study at Masters level in nursing
- Dual qualification (RN/RMN)
Experience and Knowledge

- Working experience within community and primary care nursing fields
- Experience of working in a senior nursing role (Minimum of 18 months at Band 6 or higher)
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of implementing change in clinical practice
