We are excited to be advertising this lead role in a service set up to promote the psychological wellbeing of children and young people with developmental delay or disability and their families. The Children's Centre Psychology (CCP) team includes clinical psychologists, assistant psychologists, child development advisors, a parent carer counsellor and parent carer peer mentor, all of whom are committed to working creatively and innovatively to support children with developmental delay or disability to live their best lives. We are seeking a leader who understands that cultural shifts and working systemically are as important to promoting psychological wellbeing as individual therapeutic work. The ability to work collaboratively with families to influence change in their lives, alongside holding a wider vision of strategic change is an important part of this role. CCP is part of the much bigger Child and Family Psychological Therapies service, which offers a range of psychological support and allows many opportunities for working together, learning together and feeling connected to a bigger system of psychologists.
