Are you an Allied Health Professional, post-doctoral clinical academic looking for a unique strategic leadership opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced AHP to drive forward our research ambitions. You will be part of a nationally recognised Clinical Academic Training Office, providing a supportive and collaborative environment for growth.
We are committed to enhancing the impact of AHP's through research and need a leader to help us achieve this vision. We are looking to recruit someone to deliver a robust research strategy to enhance our profile. You will maintain your clinical practice and research deliver research training and provide mentorship and supervision across academic levels. You will drive the evolution of our clinical academic career structure, working with our team of clinical academics, leaders, and clinicians, and advocate for the research contributions of AHP's.
You will represent the research interests of NHS AHPs at Trust, University and our Academic Health Science Centre and support the work of the Imperial Health Charity and our NIHR Imperial Biomedical Research Centre to help deliver the BRC's research training strategy. Although you will work independently, you will sit within the supportive structure of our nationally recognised Clinical Academic Training Office. This is a unique and important role in our AHP leadership team.

Main duties of the job
As a Lead Clinical Academic for AHPs, you will be at the forefront of strategic leadership, guiding the implementation of our research strategy in collaboration with the Lead Nurse for Research. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Clinical Practice: To provide clinical care in your particular area of professional expertise.
- Leading Research: Develop your own research and deliver a robust research strategy alongside the Lead Nurse for Research, to enhance our research profile across the NHS Trust, University, and Academic Health Science Centre.
- Training: Oversee and deliver research training within the Trust, and within our Clinical Academic Training Office.
- Research mentorship and supervision: Provide mentorship and supervision to Allied Health Professionals to support the pipeline into pre-doctoral and through to post-doctoral stages, fostering a culture of research excellence and career development.
- Advancing Clinical Academic Careers: Drive the evolution of our clinical academic career structure, working closely with a dedicated team of AHP clinical academics, leaders, and clinicians.
- Representing AHP Research Interests: Advocate for the research contributions of NHS AHPs at all levels, from the Trust, Academic Health Science Centre, College and Nationally.
- Collaborating with Key Partners: Support the work of the Imperial Health Charity and the NIHR Imperial Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to deliver their research training strategy.

- Professional Graduate with post graduate training in research and clinical skills
- An Allied Health Professional registered with the HCPC
