Have you ever considered starting your dietetic career in the Community?Are you interested in hybrid working?Is health and wellbeing high on your agenda?The Community Dietetics (Adults) team are looking for a newly qualified or current Band 5 Dietitian to work in our team. We are the largest Community Dietetics team in the South East with 35 clinicians.We are committed to supporting graduates gain knowledge and confidence to develop as aDietitian. You will start a preceptorship programme to provide you with the skills and knowledge required in the role. On completing the preceptorship, you will have the opportunityto develop your clinical skills in an area of your choice including Gastroenterology, Diabetes,Weight Management, Nutrition Support or Neurology.Our team includes supervision and support from our highly specialist clinical team - including ourGastroenterology dietitian, Obesity and Diabetes dietitian, Nutrition support /Prescribing Leaddietitian and Neuro dietitian.Our team is supported by dietetic assistants and dietetic assistant practitioners and we are alsosupporting training for dietetic apprenticeships and dietetic studentsWellbeing is high on our agenda. To improve work-life balance we follow a hybrid workingapproach and offer flexible working opportunities. Our Health and Wellbeing champions provideregular updates, from money saving tips to meditation session's, the team actively feedback onwellbeing and what would improve their work-life balance.

Main duties of the job

o Supporting adults with common nutritional conditions including Malnutrition, Diabetes, Obesity, IBS and Coeliac diseaseo Working in a variety of settings including virtual clinics, home visits, community hospitals and care homeso Facilitating patient groups such as Type 2 Diabetes and Cardiac Rehabo Opportunities to engage in Quality Improvement projectso Supporting clinical triage processes

In addition to clinical work you will also have protected catch up time for administrative tasks, training and relevant CPD opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • Registered Healthcare Professional with relevant Professional body (HCPC)


Desirable

  • Mentoring qualification equivalent


EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Experience of recent community/acute healthcare gained through education or work experience placement or previous employment


KNOWLEDGE

  • Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS


SKILLS & ABILITIES
