Part-time HCPC registered band clinical psychologist (up to band 8a dependant on experience) required for a bariatric (weight loss) surgery service based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
The post-holder will work 22.5 hours per week (three days), including Mondays.
This is a maternity cover post available from the start of December. It is expected that a permanent post will become available due to service expansion.
Additional sessions in critical care may be available.

Main duties of the job
Clinical psychologist working within a specialist, multi-disciplinary bariatric (weight loss) surgery service, based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Kent.
At least two years relevant experience of working as qualified clinical psychologist in physical health preferred. Understanding of health psychology models of behavioural change and emotional eating highly desirable.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate and patient-focused care. Ability to work autonomously, with regular clinical supervision provided required.

Once your pre-employment checks have been completed you will be contacted by Recruitment to arrange your start date which will be in line with one of our Corporate Inductions.
Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please emailmtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.netif this is problematic) and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check atEnhanced Level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)

- Post-doctoral training in one or more specialist areas of psychological practice
