Join our team as a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse within the Acute Cardiac Unit for a period of 9 months for maternity cover at the James Paget University Hospital Foundation Trust where you will oversee the daily operations of the nursing team, ensuring the highest standard of care is delivered to patients in a timely and efficient manner.
Main duties of the job
Working in collaboration with the Matron, you will support leadership and provide guidance and mentorship to the nursing team as well as ensuring compliance with the relevant quality and safety standards your leadership and communication skills will be essential in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that empowers the nursing team to achieve their full potential. In addition, you will be required to work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Acute Cardiac Unit

Main duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure safe and effective practice Adhere to NMC guidelines for practice requirements and standards, for example,safe handling, administration, storage and custody of medicines. Adhere to Trust guidelines, policies and procedures. Ensure that organisational goals are reflected in own and the nursing teamsobjectives and in department plans.
