We will also consider a 3 month secondment where you can enrich your skills and experience, safe in the knowledge that your job will be there to go back to after.
Closing Date: 24th September at Midnight
Proposed Interview Date: 1st October 2024
NB- virtual interviews are not an option. We like to meet our candidates in person on the day
Main duties of the job
The Acute & General Medicine Directorate is a great career choice whether you plan to utilise experience gained to enrich your portfolio to move on to other specialities/roles or even better - if you decide to make this hugely rewarding area of nursing your ultimate career choice - it takes a very special person.
We are particularly interested in nurses with a love of the elderly who would be happy to join our Older Persons' Unit after the winter ward closes. Alternatively we also have vacancies in our Specialist Stroke unit.
We will also have vacancies in other areas of medicine and have a very committed Practice Development team that offer fantastic development opportunities in the form of study days and the Acutely Ill Adult Work-based learning Qualification in Specialism course which is really well evaluated.
In AGM we support and develop our band 5s ready for a band 6 role, where we have the AGM Band 6 Leadership Programme that aims to grow and develop our band 6s into the Ward Sisters & Charge Nurses of the future. There are also secondment opportunities in Medicine which expose our staff to different roles and encourage career progression.
We told you this was a good career choice!
