Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse

Must be 'Qualified in Speciality' to apply (specific neonatal qualification enb 405 or equivalent).

At Bradford Royal Infirmary NICU we care for the sickest, smallest and earliest babies from birth through to discharge and pride ourselves on our exceptionally high standards of care.

Accredited as the first NICU in the country to achieve UNICEF Baby Friendly Neonatal Standards we are very proud of the parents as partners in care ethos that underpins every aspect of the care we deliver to babies and their families within the service.

We are currently looking to recruit Qualified in Specialty (QIS) Neonatal Nurses to add to our ICU team.

The Neonatal Service at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a friendly, innovative and forward thinking multi-disciplinary team that provides high quality care for babies from across the Yorkshire and Humber and beyond. Main duties of the job

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Staff Nurseswho currently hold QIS status in Neonatal Careto join our NICU family at Bradford Teaching Hospitals.

To apply you will need to already possess an NMC Pin and the QIS qualification.

The post holder is expected to deliver safe and high quality nursing care whilst ensuring effective, efficient and economic use of services and resources.

The post holder will maintain a safe environment for babies, families and staff, reporting concerns as they arise and ensuring appropriate remedies/ action plans are put in place.

The post holder will identify areas of practice development within the service and support the team leader to deliver on departmental goals.

• RSCN / RN Child with current NMC registration in the UK
• Holds Qualified in Speciality Neonatal Care qualification (formerly ebn 405)

• This post is part of a team that provides 24/7 care. You must be able to work the full score of shift patterns in the area. (Days, Nights, Weekends, Bank Holidays)
• Successful applicants will be required to apply to join the ODN Foundation programme of training by the end of a probation period unless the candidate has already completed or exceeded this level of training.
