EDUCATION

Essential

• Registered Midwife Teaching Qualification (mentorship) or equivalent experience.
• Teaching Qualification (mentorship) or equivalent experience.
• Graduate (degree/diploma) with specialist expertise across a range of midwifery procedures

Desirable

• Management qualification or equivalent experience

SKILLS / ABILITIES

Essential

• Ability to lead a team.
• Ability to support and develop staff
• IT skills including use of MS Outlook

EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Two years experience at Band 6 in a relevant clinical setting.
• Experience of leading and developing a team.
• Knowledge of quality, standard setting, benchmarking and audit

Desirable

• Experience at Band 7 as a Midwifery team leader
