The NCA are delighted to offer posts for midwives to join the NCA as community midwives working as part of our friendly, supportive, community midwifery team.
We are able to offer full and part time posts which encompass the full sphere of community midwifery care, and part time posts with a bespoke approach to community care which will support midwives who require a flexible approach to working hours.
Main duties of the job
The provision of midwifery antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care within the community setting.
Provide care during the antenatal intrapartum and postnatal care within the Community setting.
Providing the highest standard of care for women and their families by efficient use of available resources
Promote women's and families equality, diversity and rights.
Assess women and babies health and wellbeing needs when those needs are complex.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receivea full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
