A Maternity Leave cover opportunity has arisen for you to join our Gynaecology Assessment team, St Mary's Hospital MCS at North Manchester Hospital, within Manchester NHS Foundation Trust. 37.5 hours per week for 12 months.
The unit provides a service 7 days a week, including patients referred via A& E, midwifery team, GP's and other health care professionals or who attend for follow up appointments. The unit provides care for all Gynaecology conditions.
Gynaecology Ward and/or Emergency Gynaecology experience is essential for all applicants.
Main duties of the job
You will be an experienced Gynaecology Registered Nurse with Gynaecology inpatient and/or outpatient exposure. Completion of the Emergency Gynaecology Course is of benefit but not essential.
The successful candidate will play an essential role in assessing and triaging the patient and delivering timely care, ensuring clear communication with the MDT. The GAU unit has plans to become a 24 hour, nurse led service.

You will be able to support and contribute to a team approach, have the ability to problem solve, analyse and resolve issues. In addition to this, you must be motivated to develop personally and professionally and have exemplary personal standards of conduct.
