We are a department of 9 theatres in 2 different sites with 2 more theatres planning to open soon within the hospital complex:

A standalone Centre of Excellence Orthopaedic Unit (BHOC) with 4 operating theatres and a recovery unit in Gateway Surgical Centre

Maternity Services and Main Theatres in the main hospital building with 5 operating theatres and a recovery unit have come together to provide day surgery cases, emergency procedures and specialist obstetric care.

We are seeking to recruit highly motivated enthusiastic Band 5 Anesthetic Nurse/ ODP who is passionate about providing top-quality, first-class patient care as is expected from our Trust WeCare Values.

Main duties of the job

  • As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will participate in planning, deliveringand evaluating the highest standard and individualised peri-operative care to patientscontributing to overall effectiveness of the service and enhancing well-being ofpatients.
  • To participate in the provision and maintenance of high standards of patientcare and a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  • To comply with the appropriate Codes of Conduct as members of professionalbody (NMC/HCPC)
  • To comply with local protocols regarding drug administration followingappropriate training and assessment. The Practitioner must be assessed ascompetent prior to undertaking new practices.
