NUH Digital Services are looking for an experienced Senior Data Warehouse Analyst/Developer to join the Data Warehousing Team as a dedicated resource for the Trust R& I department.
The potential post-holder will have to hit the ground running, and must therefore have proven experience in working with Research teams including clinicians to elicit software requirement and develop research study data management processes and Standard Operating Procedures. They must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. They must also have demonstrable and verifiable experience with metadata profiling and transforming data to the OMOP CDM, and they must be familiar with data pseudonymisation, anonymisation, and national data opt-out checking.
Candidates must also have proven expertise at a senior level in database modelling and database design, data warehousing and data migration, and the use of SQLServer, TSQL, and SSIS.
Previous NHS experience and familiarity with NHS data and datasets are likewise required.
Please note that regular on-site attendance will be required for this role, and that interviews will be conducted on site.
Main duties of the job
In addition to the brief list above you must familiarise yourself with the full job description and person specification attached to this advert prior to applying. Please note that all essentials listed in the job description are indeed essential.
Working closely with colleagues in the R& I department as well as the Data Warehousing and other Digital & Information teams, the post holder will be expected to take a leading role in the analysis, design, and development of both standard as well as ad-hoc data warehousing packages and data pipelines for the provision of data for research purposes.
As an expert in the field of Trust data, data validation, ETL mechanisms, and data provision, the post-holder may also be expected to provide leadership and mentoring for less experienced colleagues. They will also be expected to help with the development and maintenance of standards, procedures, and best practice guides, also where this may concern the potential adoption of new technologies in the team.
