BeeU Children and Young People's Mental Health Service is looking for an Occupational Therapist to work in our Learning Disability (LD) and Intensive Support (IST) teams. The role is focused on OT assessment, interventions and engaging young people in meaningful occupation.
The LD team offering a service for children and young people with an LD who are experiencing mental health and/or behaviours of concern. The IST works more intensively with a small number of young people with LD and/or Autism focusing on young people who present with a high level of risk and where behaviours of concern are impacting significantly on their quality of life.
It is an exciting time to come and work in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin's Children, Young People and Families Services. We have received additional investment to improve the support available. As a result, we are pleased to be able to advertise a number of new roles both substantive and fixed-term posts. We can welcome clinicians who want to work in Children's Mental Health Services. Where people are interested in applying but would need to relocate, we can support with associated incentives. Where people are interested and passionate about working with children but have identified additional training, we may be able to train staff to develop the appropriate skills.
With a growing team of OTs across the BeeU service, we are able to provide a robust supervision structure and opportunities for continuing professional development.
