As a B6 junior sister you will be responsible for promoting and implementing practice conducive to the development of high quality patient care by providing professional, clinical and managerial leadership. You will be expected to take charge of the Unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse and provide support and guidance to all staff.
Main duties of the job
The Cardiac Care Unit has an exciting opportunity for a senior Band 5 Nurse to apply for Band 6 post to support Ward Sister with the day to day management of the Cardiac Care Unit. The successful candidate will be expected to take on the management and day to day running of the unit in the absence of the Ward Sister..
As a junior sister on Cardiac Care you will have responsibility for monitoring standards and quality in the development, implementation and evaluation of patient care. You will monitor and support staff training and education, risk management reporting at ward level and budget control including allocation of resources.
A strong clinical background in acute Cardiology is essential to this role to support the nursing team and ensure our patients receive the right standard of care.
As a junior sister, you will work closely with the multi professional team members to enhance service delivery. As an individual new to the role, you will be well supported by your peers within the medical division.
The successful candidate will be someone who is passionate about nursing and values the contribution nursing makes to high quality patient care.
