We are pleased to advertise an opportunity for an experienced cardiology nurse to join our established team as a Cardiology CNS on a fixed term basis. This is a new role that will support our current service and enable the role out of service improvements.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a leadership role within the Trust, responsible for the development of innovative nursing practice within the specialty of Heart Failure. A collaborative approach with the multidisciplinary team ensures a comprehensive patient centred service is provided. It is expected that the CNS maintains skills in the appropriate clinical area. As a senior nurse within the Trust the CNS would participate and contribute at senior management level in service developments and initiatives.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
The safety and well-being of our patients and of our staff is paramount and we are making urgent improvements to address this - particularly in infection prevention and control.
