Are you an experienced MSK Physiotherapist looking for the next step within your career?

We are looking for a specialist Physiotherapist to work across sites including community clinics and the new Elective Orthopaedic centre at ESNEFT. Our ideal candidate will have experience of working in a MSK setting and in an acute hospital Orthopaedic team.

You will be actively involved in service development and will need to work on your own initiative as well as being responsible for the development of junior staff. You will embrace innovation and integrated working and will be committed to following best practice to ensure person centred care. Excellent communication and health coaching skills are essential for this role. .

Part Time hours will be considered.

Please note you the ability to travel across North East Essex will be required to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

  • Work as part of the integrated team to deliver therapeutic input to patients in both an acute setting and a community clinic setting, with the aim of returning them to maximum independent living, within a stimulating environment actively promoting self-management on all activities of daily living.
  • Working as an autonomous practitioner, you will provide specialist input to all patients that fall within their specialist field of expertise.
  • Work with colleagues across health, social care, mental health and voluntary sector to ensure holistic and joined up delivery of care.
  • Empower patients to make decisions about their own care and encourage them to exercise their rights and choices, signposting them to relevant community and voluntary services and supporting patient's carers and assistants with management of risk.
  • Manage the work of junior staff, assistants, students and volunteers in own professional area.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered physiotherapist with HCPC
  • Professional knowledge and skills underpinned by theory and experience, acquired through degree supplemented by specialist training, experience in specialist field, to masters level or equivalent
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD


Desirable

  • Registered member of Chartered Society of physiotherapy


Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience working with relevant care group Clinical expertise
  • Advanced competencies relevant to care group
  • Experience of managing complex and/or highly specialist cases


Desirable

  • Experience of managing and supervising the work of others


Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Advanced knowledge of a broad range of assessments including specialist relevant to the specialist care group and the relative benefits of each.
  • Excellent knowledge of a range of advanced therapeutic interventions relevant to the care group including the relative benefits of each and the comparative outcomes.
  • Advanced and specialist skills relevant to care group
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
