Senior Financial Advisor (Band 7) - East
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated finance professional with knowledge and experience of a broad range of financial functions. You will be joining the Finance Department during a period of change and transformation, helping deliver the Boards health care priorities, along with providing financial support and advice.
This post covers the East Integrated Health Community (specifically the Children's, Medicines Management, Therapies, Community & Primary Care services within Flintshire & Wrexham, with a total budget of at least �270 million).
This is the team leader Finance role for the East Division reporting directly to the East Assistant Chief Finance Officer, but you will also have to develop excellent working relationships with the other Senior Finance colleagues, Shared Services, Local Authorities, Care Homes and Nursing/Operational leads.
Main duties of the job
Team leader responsibility for the management accounting and business partnering function supporting the East Division. The role provides professional financial support, advice and information to the East Division to enable them to effectively and proactively manage their respective budgets and finances to ensure the achievement of financial targets and the HB's statutory financial duties.
Ensuring that the Division's financial activities and systems are in line with corporate, policies and procedures and meet the highest standards of stewardship and probity to comply with corporate governance requirements.
Directly supporting the Assistant Chief Finance Officer, Chief Finance Officer and the Divisional Management Teams, actively contributing to performance review and highlighting any financial issues which need to be addressed.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Student accountant member of CCAB institute, or ability to demonstrate qualification by relevant and significant experience.
