Are you a skilled and experienced practitioner looking to join a passionate and dedicated team?
Our Mental Health Liaison team based at the James Paget University Hospital (JPUH) in Gorleston has a rare opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to join their fantastic team.
This role is there to support those attending the JPUH with new or ongoing mental health difficulties and illness to identify their needs, ensuring these are met effectively whilst in hospital and to contribute towards timely/supportive discharge planning.
Our vital service operates 24/7, 365 days of the year which means will be expected to work a shift pattern.
JPUH is located in the coastal town of Gorleston, just a stones throw from beautiful beaches and with great connections to Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. Working here will give you the opportunity to work in a busy acute hospital with the added benefit of being able to enjoy the beaches, beautiful countryside and coastal towns in your spare time.

Main duties of the job
We're looking for people who enjoy working in fast paced and busy environment, forging excellent working relationships with other health professionals within the hospital and beyond.
A flexible 'can do' attitude, with a willingness to build links with acute hospital colleagues is essential to ensure that a proactive interface is created between mental health and acute services.
From working alongside colleagues in the A& E department, to in-reaching to the wards, supporting substance misuse colleagues and liaising with other mental health professionals, you will work across the JPUH supporting individuals presenting to the acute hospital with mental health issues.
We're looking for individuals who want to grow and develop their knowledge and skills by working closely with colleagues, sharing experience and knowledge to continually learn from each other.
Ideally you'll have experience, particularly in areas of acute mental health and risk management and older adults' mental health.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like a new challenge with variety where no two days will be the same.

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is the main provider of specialist mental health services for the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk, serving a population of 1.6 million people.
