Senior Financial Advisor (Band 7) - Continuing Health Care (CHC)
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated finance professional with knowledge and experience of a broad range of Financial functions. You will be joining the Finance Department during a period of change and transformation, helping deliver the Boards Continuing Health Care priorities, along with providing financial support and advice.
This is the lead Finance role for Continuing Health Care (CHC), reporting directly to the East Chief Finance Officer, but you will also have to develop excellent working relationships with the other Senior Finance colleagues, Shared Services, Local Authorities, Care Homes and Nursing/Operational leads.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who can actively engage with stakeholders both internal and external but also manage the following responsibilities:

We are looking for someone who can actively engage with stakeholders both internal and external but also manage the following responsibilities:
- Providing high quality financial advice and support to Finance & Operational leads covering all aspects of CHC financial performance to ensure sound financial management reporting within the Health Board.
- Responsible for the setting, maintaining and monitoring budgets allocated to Divisions and CHC Operational Teams (circa �60m pa).
- Contribute to the completion of monthly Welsh Government monitoring returns, annual accounts and to provide expert advice and financial forecasting analysis to Senior Finance colleagues.
- Manage the two CHC Finance Teams (Payments & Management Accounts), ensuring the effective management of them to meet reporting, payment and query resolution deadlines.
