It is an exciting time to work in the Erewash Community Mental Health team for Adults of Working Age, as we are in a period of transformation in line with the Community Mental Health Framework (Living Well).
This post will be transitioning into the Living Well, offering short term interventions/ groups, within a Multi disciplinary framework, including VCSE staff. Erewash Living well started in February 2024 and has strong working relationships with all the agencies involeved in this strategy.
We are based in Ilkeston, and are ideally located within easy commute from Chesterfield, Mansfield, Nottingham and Derby, with opportunities to work from home some of the time.
We will offer you robust clinical and managerial supervision, as well as ongoing training, whilst supporting you to develop within your role/ interests, with support from our clinical lead.
We seek individuals who are warm, engaging and focussed on person-centred care.
You must hold a Mental Health nursing qualification and will be a good communicator, demonstrate respect and dignity.
We focus on empowerment and recovery for the service user and their families.
We are have a spacious office environment, next to Shipley Country Park with free parking and good facilities. We have a strong focus on staff well being and are known as a welcoming and suportive team.
We would welcome informal visits with prior arrangement to meet our team.
Main duties of the job
The post will entail working with people who are experiencing severe and enduring mental ill health and enabling them through their recovery journey.
Ideally you will have experience of group work, though training is available to develop such skills, ie- trauma and DBT interventions
You will work with a caseload of service users and support the duty function within the team.
You will need thorough knowledge of the Care Programme Approach and be able to demonstrate expertise in risk assessment and management working in a community setting.
It is essential that you have good communication skills and that you operate as a well-integrated member of our friendly, multi-disciplinary team, maintaining a person-centred focus.
As a lead nurse, you will have demonstrable RMN post registration experience and be able to demonstrate post registration study and development.
You will also need to demonstrate expertise around NMC nurse competencies.
You will be expected to be a role model, offering mentoring and supervision to other staff and students.
You will need to have the ability to transport yourself and service users across a wide geographical area without compromising service needs.
