The Children's Acute Transport Service (CATS) is one of the busiest paediatric critical care transport services in the UK and we are looking for a dynamic, passionate and experienced transport Nurse to join our team.

You will be responsible for undertaking safe and efficient ground and air transport as well as support our training programme both directly with those clinicians training with the CATS team as well as participating in outreach education for our service users. We offer development opportunities including specialist transport and advanced practice courses

Main duties of the job

This is a clinical role within the Children's Acute Transport Service (CATS) with an element of responsibility for the outreach education programme in collaboration with your mentor. Responsibilities include:

• To provide leadership and education to a designated nursing team and ensure the provision of high-quality nursing care
• To act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner on PCC Transport
• To assist in the safe, effective, and efficient management of the PCC Transport Service within allocated resources
• To promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence based practice
• To undertake delegated responsibility for the service in the absence of the senior nurses
• To undertake outreach education in conjunction with the senior nursing team
• Facilitate the induction, education and continuing professional development for all levels of trained nursing staff within the service
