We have an outstanding opportunity to join and support our highly motivated Digital Technology Services Team which prides itself on their ability to innovate, modernise and support services that provide patient care.

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, and innovative individual who wants to join our Network Infrastructure Team. The successful candidate will join a small team, responsiblefor the provision and day-to-day support of the computer infrastructure including network and server support (physical, virtual and cloud servers), data backup, cloud-based systems, LAN/WAN and WiFi infrastructures, Storage Area Network systems and several specialist servers and applications.

Main duties of the job

Experience of working in a MS Windows server environment is essential and in addition experience of VMWare technologies would be desirable together with knowledge and experience of network technologies to include firewall, switch/router deployment, configuration and management. Previous experience of network and infrastructure security and resilience is essential as is an understanding of backup technologies and processes.

The Network & Infrastructure IT Technician will be a skilled and experienced member of the Digital Technology Services team with the ability to perform tasks unsupervised but with appropriate technical support. You will be expected to have an enthusiasm for maintaining high quality services. You will have excellent IT skills, have high level skill in using MS Office products (particularly Excel) and a flair for excellent customer service. You will be a team player with a flexible attitude to your day-to-day work. The successful candidate will be expected to join the IT on call team.
