We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Senior Physiotherapist to join our innovative admission avoidance, Front of House Therapy Team, at UHD. Clinical areas covered by the team at Poole Hospital include Emergency department, Urgent Treatment Centre, Rapid Assessment Consultant Evaluation (RACE) Unit and Older persons Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) clinic.
This excellent opportunity focuses on providing a quality Physiotherapy assessment and intervention, working collaboratively within a specialist frailty Multi-disciplinary team (MDT). The RACE ward at Poole has won National awards in recognition of its seven-day care, admission avoidance and MDT approach. As an MDT we take pride in delivering a patient-centred focus, through timely comprehensive assessments, interventions and discharge planning. Within this highly regarded and innovative team you will be supported to develop specialist skills and advanced practice within frailty.
Expectations of the post holder would include working holistically across professional boundaries, service development, supporting and supervising junior staff and opportunities to work alongside a range of experienced professionals both within the hospital and community.

- 2 years experience working as a physiotherapist covering core rotations
- Experience working at a junior level within the NHS is essential
- Experience working on an on-call respiratory rota as participation is expected in this role
- Willing to participate in 7 day working on a rota basis
- Ability to drive, hold a clean drivers licence and have access to a car for work purposes
