An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 HIV Specialist Nurse to join the established HIV nursing team within the Regional Infectious Diseases Unit at North Manchester General Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and adaptable individual to join our team.
This is a great opportunity to develop clinical knowledge and skills in the care of those living with HIV., You will be involved in the management of a caseload of people with multiple needs. The post holder will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team which includes, Consultants, Registrars, Pharmacists and clinical psychologists carting for people living with HIV.
Main duties of the job
This post will require you to have a high degree of autonomy, manage your own clinic caseload, possess excellent communication skills and ideally have experience in caring for patients with complex care needs.
The post holder will be expected to work across multiple settings including outpatients, inpatient wards, the community and outreach services. They will be involved in all aspects of the care of people living with HIV and will work as part of a wider MDT.
