The Redcar CAMHS Getting More Help Team (GMH) has a rare Team Manager post available. This is an exciting time to join the team, supporting both the Service and the Trust redesign.
The post holder will need to be flexible in their approach to managing the day to day operational aspects of the team. You will lead the team, ensuring that operational requirements are adhered to including the delivery of clinical and management supervision, with the associated appraisal.
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative leadership approach with senior clinical staff and the Service Manager. The successful candidate will also work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, displaying excellent skills in communication, engagement and collaborative working.
Main duties of the job
Operational management of the team, including accountability for ensuring the highest professional standards and attitudes towards the care of children, young people and their parent/cares are maintained and delivered at all times in accordance with evidence based practice.

In this role, you will require experience of working within an integrated multi-disciplinary team and demonstrate an ability to support day-to-day management of a highly functioning and often challenging service. Therefore, experience of working within CAMHS , have a current relevant professional registration and previous leadership or managerial experience would be preferred; however we would be willing to consider those seeking an opportunity to develop leadership and managerial skills within this area.

- Current professional registration with appropriate body in healthcare or social work.
- Significant experience working with children and young people with complex mental ill health in a community setting.
- Significant evidenced based knowledge of best practice in caring for children and young people in the designated field.
- Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to children and young people, carers/families and all members of the multidisciplinary team.
