The Bolton CAMHS Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Pathway Team is an innovative service implementing evidence-based practice and following NICE guidelines. It is a consultant led service. Supervision is provided to the non-medical prescribers by the consultant psychiatrist leading the service.
The post holder will provide advice and consultation to other members of the multidisciplinary team and clinical and performance management supervision to trainees and less experienced professionals where appropriate. Alongside this there will be the opportunity to undertake audit and data collection with this population of young people and families and use that to inform further service development.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to provide specialist interventions, advice, consultancy and supervision to colleagues, and where appropriate with respect to ADHD, consultation to colleagues within external partner agencies in line with THRIVE.
As the post is identified within the CYPMH strategy, it is expected the role will continue to develop in line with national and local initiatives with a specific focus on the development and implementation of services for young people and families with ADHD.
