An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Lead Nurse to join our multi-disciplinary Occupational Health and Wellbeing service at CUH NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for an individual who is a natural role model and who consistently demonstrates the Trust values (Together - Kind, Safe, Excellent) with a passion for supporting and developing others while providing visible leadership to motivate and inspire their teams.
The Occupational Health Senior Lead Nurse will be an active member of the OH senior leadership team and will provide professional guidance, leadership and direction to the OH nursing team. You will be accountable for the efficient and effective operational management of the nursing workforce, guaranteeing provision of high quality evidence based nursing practice, and will play a pivotal role in successfully delivering on our key strategic priorities, physical health, psychological health and screening, surveillance and vaccination.
You will be a strong clinical leader, highly visible and accessible to service users. You will have a particular responsibility to support the developments of Clinical Governance (including SEQOHS), be the Clinical Lead for IT systems and Service Improvement, to modernise services and ensure the active involvement of service users and partners in the way Occupational Health services are developed, delivered and evaluated.
Part-time (minimum of 30 hours/week over four days) or job share opportunities may be considered.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide professional oversight to the Occupational Health nursing team. They will be accountable for the efficient and effective operational management of the nursing workforce, guaranteeing provision of high quality evidence based nursing practice, and will play a pivotal role in successfully delivering on our key strategic priorities, physical health, psychological health and screening, surveillance and vaccination.

- Registered Nurse
- Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health (OH) or equivalent or working towards
- Advanced clinical assessment skills
- Management/leadership skills qualification, training and/or development

- Non-medical prescriber
- OH research module

- Master's degree in OH or other relevant discipline e.g. public health or willingness to work towards
