Main duties of the job
The successful candidate would join our fantastic team of Neuro Specialist Nurses at the Royal Free Hospital.
The successful candidate will be expected:
- To be the key worker for Epilepsy patients. Act as their advocate whilst co-ordinating their care pathway from assessment through to discharge/ diagnosis and referral.- To provide holistic care and support through counselling, educating, advising and supporting emotional needs.- Co-ordinate health promotion both internally and externally.- To have a leading role in service improvement and development.
A successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. A successful candidate should have proven experience of working:
- In a clinical background, with experience and knowledge of treating Epilepsy clients.- A first level degree or working towards this.Counselling skills, training and experience.- Excellent communication and organisational skills.- The ability to prioritise work independently within a team.- Leadership experience.
