All roles on the bank are for as and when workers and therefore in particular may suit those already working part-time, with other commitments, or who want to work on a short-term basis.HPFT provides services for service users with mental health, learning disability and children's and adolescent mental health problems. Applicants should have some experience of working in a healthcare setting particularly within mental health services. Main duties of the job

To be part of an integrated health/social care team providing inpatient care for service users suffering from serious and enduring mental illness. Offering nursing interventions in a wide variety of clinical,therapeutic and social forms with the aim of promoting mental health wellbeing, self-autonomy and independence.

The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, in liaison with the care team in the capacity of a mental health nurse.

o Work as a Named Nurse/part of a team for the individuals in theservice area, providing a holistic approach to service user assessment,treatment, review and management of packages of careo Ensure that the statutory requirements of the MHA 1983 (amended2007) and Mental Capacity Act are observed and appliedo Clinical skills relative to the delivery of care in the serviceareao Have effective working relationships with other professionals withinthe service area, across the Strategic Business Units, (SBUs) Trustand other NHS providers and key stakeholderso Contribute towards effective management and utilisation ofresources with service areao Lead a nursing staff team in the absence of the Charge Nurse.
