The post holder will case manage a caseload of patients within the Birmingham & Solihull area, to ensure that patients undergoing treatment for TB complete their treatment, screen contacts (nurse led screening clinics) and manage any associated outbreaks.

Qualifications

Essential

  • * Professional Registration with NMC (E)
  • * Degree or equivalent (E)
  • * Teaching & Mentoring qualification (E)


Desirable

  • * Non-Medical Prescribing Course (D)


Experience

Essential

  • * Minimum of 3 years' relevant post registration experience (E)
  • * Evidence of on-going CPD (E)
  • * Evidence of teaching in a variety of environments (E)


Desirable

  • * Experience in community and management of TB cases

  • * Evidence of Clinical Assessment skills (E)
  • * Evidence of participating in research & audit (E)
  • * Evidence of dissemination of knowledge in wider healthcare organisations (E)
  • * Evidence of development and implementation of clinical management plans (E)
  • * Excellent communication skills (E)
  • * Ability to perform in stressful and complex situation (E)
  • * Sound clinical reasoning & decision making (E)
  • * Flexible (E)
  • * Ability to inspire and lead a team (E)
  • * Ability to do phlebotomy skills (E)
  • * Awareness of current relevant NHS policy context relating to the speciality (E)
  • * Has understanding / experience of the principles of Safeguarding in relation to the role applied for ( E )
  • * Knowledge of corporate and clinical governance (E)
  • * You will need to be able to meet the travel requirements of the post and be independently mobile and as such it is essential for you to possess a full category B car driving licence preferably clean or with no more than a maximum of 3 points (E)
