The Community and Wellbeing network are able to offer an exciting opportunity for a band 5 registered nurse to work within the Central Lancashire Moving Well service.

The post is primarily based at the Minerva Health Centre and our satellite clinic at Chorley.

Main duties of the job

The main purpose of this post is to support the running of our rheumatology outpatient service, administration of intravenous medications which are used to treat various rheumatological conditions and support our blood monitoring service for patients with various rheumatological conditions. You will work alongside our wider MDT including consultants, specialist nurses, AHPs HCAs and admin staff.The post is a full time position covering Monday - Friday excluding bank holidays.

Education/Qualifications

Essential

  • First level Registration NMC
  • Ability to provide evidence of Continuing Professional Development


Knowledge

Essential

  • Cannulation and Venepuncture
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills


Experience

Essential

  • Post registration qualification in healthcare related subject
  • Teaching Qualification e.g. ENB 998 Cert Ed or equivalent


Skills

Essential

  • Able to be self motivated and motivate others
  • A special interest in working with people with long term conditions
  • Must be willing to develop competencies within the scope of professional practice to meet service needs
