Are you a compassionate, experienced Community Nurse seeking a new opportunity? We have an Overnight Community Nurse part time position available within the DN Night Service, based in Taunton.This position is nights only working 10 hour shifts. We are a seven day a week service so the post holder will have to work some weekends and bank holidays. The post is 15 hours a week but you will work three 10hr shifts over a fortnight.You'll need to be a car driver with your own vehicle to undertake visits although there is a pool car available routinely. We offer a generous mileage allowance to cover the use of your own car for NHS business, which includes both mileage and depreciation.If you are an experienced community nurse looking for a rewarding challenge to advance your nursing career, then join our friendly, and highly skilled team of nurses and support staff. Main duties of the job
As an experienced Community Nurse, you will provide unplanned, urgent nursing care to patients in their homes, managing a range of complex health issues and collaborating with various other disciplines as required.
You will work closely with the Overnight DN Hub, with a focus on preventing avoidable acute admission. You will be competent in a broad range of nursing skills, including, palliative and end-of-life care, complex wound management, catheter and continence care, diabetes management and medication administration.
You will need to make autonomous clinical decisions and create personalised care plans as required.
