We are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity to join theElectronic Patient Record (EPR)Programme Team at Northampton General Hospital. In partnership with our chosen supplier, we have embarked on our digitalexcellencejourney to implement anationally leadingEPR system that will transform the quality of care for our patients and staff by having instantly accessible information using the latest mobile technology, reducing paperusageand utilising clinical decision support tools.
The EPR Data Validation Lead will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the Trust's EPR, leading a team of data quality validators to support the data migration activities required throughout the programme.
Existing clinical systems will be decommissioned whilst bringing in a new EPR and the data they hold will need to be migrated across. Ensuring our data in the existing systems is as accurate as can be is of upmost importance, as is the validation that the data migrated across is what is expected.
As part of a dynamic and agile team that is committed to our Vision 'Dedicated to Excellence', you will have significant personal opportunities to grow and develop, as well as to tangibly impact how care is delivered in the future.
Main duties of the job
Leading a team of data quality validators to support the data migration activities required throughout the programme.
The role will involve the detailed analysis and understanding of complex technical and business requirements across multiple services within the Trust to migrate data essential to service delivery into the new EPR.
The post holder will be expected to develop and document data migration test scripts so previous experience of this will be an advantage. Risks and issues that arise throughout the data migration testing process will need to be captured in order to be fed back to the wider organisation appropriately.
Travel to the hospital site will be required as part of a hybrid working arrangement, and the data validation team should all expect to be on site throughout testing cycles.
