An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse with considerable advanced nursing skills in Gynae-oncology to join our Gynaecological team. The post holder has a distinct level of responsibility to patients with Gynaecological tumours in providing a comprehensive advanced nursing service to the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, working within a team of advanced practice nurses.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and experienced, who enjoys patient contact and working in a multi-disciplinary environment to support the delivery of a quality service. You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, flexibility, and reliability and have an organised approach to work.
Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for a dependable and highly adaptable individual who works independently and has the ability to fit in quickly as part of a team.

Main duties of the job
The Surgical Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Gynae-oncology will integrate into the gynaecology surgical team ensuring the following tasks and responsibilities are consistently met to a high standard:
- Routine management of gynaecology surgical patients in in-patient and out-patient areas, in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Advanced clinical assessment, initiation of care and treatment, and monitoring of disease progression and efficacy of treatment.
- Act as a highly specialised role model and leader for all members of staff
- Play a major role in the continuous development of the services within the Trust and as a potential member of a range of trust patient experience/ quality/process improvement project groups.

- MSc or working towards in relevant subject
