Flying Start is the Welsh Government's targeted Early Years programme for families with children under 4 years of age who live in some of the most disadvantaged areas of Wales. Flying Start aims to make a decisive difference to the life chances of children by mitigating the impact of poverty, which is linked to poor life outcomes in early childhood, including health outcomes.
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to operationally lead and manage the Denbighshire Flying Start Health Team.
The post is advertised as a B7 post, working 37.5 hours per week. The post holder would be located at Rhyl Leisure Centre, Denbighshire and would also be expected to travel to our Denbigh based site when required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide highly visible, professional operational leadership, management, and expertise to the skill mix Health Team, ensuring that the service provided is of a high quality.
The post holder will have a detailed knowledge of the Flying Start Programme and associated guidance and an understanding of the health needs of the population eligible to access the Programme across Denbighshire.
You will have experience of excellent partnership working with Local Authority professionals and an understanding of the reporting requirements of the role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
