This post offers an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Lived Experience person with an interest in working with offenders with complex personality difficulties and colleagues within the Community London Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway, LPP.
The London Pathways Partnership (LPP) is a partnership of 5 NHS Trusts, which aims to optimise outcomes for complex service participants in the criminal justice system. We have a reputation for being innovative and adaptable to improve outcomes of those whom we serve via a skilled and competent workforce. As part of this endeavour we actively conduct research to establish an evidence base, embed co-production at all levels of the service and provide specialist trainings, including the 2 day KUF Knowledge and Understanding Framework (KUF). The post holder will be encouraged to contribute to our service aims through training and supervision of other staff.

Main duties of the job
The Advanced Lived Experience KUF Development Lead will be responsible for delivery of the KUF training programmes and supporting and supervising staff, including the KUF (Knowledge and Understanding Framework) Lived Experience Trainers for the London Offender Personality Disorder Pathway.

Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
work collaboratively with the Workforce Development Lead (KUF Co-ordinator and Training Lead) for the development of a strategy for KUF rollout within London, holding specific responsibility for the KUF trainers.
lead and develop the cohort of KUF trainers, providing high quality lived-experience specific supervision, CPD opportunities and line management/ supervision responsibility for Lived experience staff.
work in collaboration with the service leads, Involvement and Inclusion and the People Participation Team to ensure the leadership, development and support of the lived experience KUF trainers within the Pathway.
participate in the development, evaluation and promotion of the internal KUF offer, contributing to national discourse related to KUF and linking regularly with other Lived Experience KUF Development Leads.
work closely with colleagues to promote, develop and embed the principles of recovery orientated practice across the organisation and to support the development and ongoing delivery of the Trusts Peer Support and Lived Experience Practice provision.

Education, Training and Qualifications
Essential
- Postgraduate degree or undergraduate degree and or teacher training equivalent, able to demonstrate equivalent skills in research, writing or analysis. Higher scores to those with research based degrees i.e BSc/ Msc and degrees related to mental health or teaching
Desirable
- PETALS Adult Learning Qualification or equivalent teaching qualification. Reference to KUF training certificate or date of KUF training specified in application.
Previous training experience
Essential
- Extensive experience of KUF Training delivery (2 day or 3 day) over a period of years. Higher scores for delivery of 2 day awareness delivery or delivery or more than one KUF programme
Desirable
- Experience of delivering KUF Train the Trainer on at least one occasion. Higher scores for longer or more extensive delivery
- Evidence of providing other relevant training to adult learners
Specific context (criminal justice based) experience
Essential
- Experience of working with people with mental health difficulties and or complex emotional problems or personality disorder
Desirable
- Experience of working with offenders in the community and or prison. Higher scores for those who have worked in therapeutic roles as well as group and training provision settings
- Knowledge of relevant criminal justice policies and service user issues such as working with boundaries, specific criminal justice/ probation policies
Lived experience
Essential
- Personal experience of personality disorder or complex mental health problems associated with personality difficulties
Desirable
- Personal experience of the criminal justice system
- Diagnosis of antisocial personality disorder
Other skills (management and research and therapies)

- Experience of providing supervision and or line management to staff. Higher scores for line management supervision and supervision/ management of clinical staff
- Experience of producing research and or clinical audit. Higher scores for staff who have produced research for publication and mention proficiency in research related IT application (e.g. Excel, SPSS)

- Experience of mentoring students
- Experience of therapeutic treatments such as MBT, DBT, attachment based approaches, CBT, compassion focused approaches, CAT, schema therapy. Higher scores for those with more therapies, those who disclose they have undergone the therapy and those who have delivered them in a group context
