We're looking for an experienced occupational therapist to join our small team due to promotion of current postholder. We want to employ someone who is passionate about working in paediatrics, can work across outpatient and community settings , and is patient/ child centered in their approach. . We want to meet you if you want to be part of our integrated team, delivering evidence based uni and multi -professional pathways.
You will benefit from being part of our Children's Therapies service, a highly supportive and friendly clinical team, and part of the Therapies directorate with professional AHP leadership . Further support is always available from our Clinical Therapy Managers, and our dedicated Therapies administrators.
We appreciate that you may have the skills and attributes we're looking for but not necessarily the experience in children and young peoples services . We will consider a development post for the right candidate, and provide induction, CPD and supervision to meet individual needs
Main duties of the job
To assess needs for further occupational therapy interventions and equipment.
To work flexibly and in an agile way to best meet the needs of the caseload.
To follow pathways and procedures relating to the service .
To contribute to service governance and development.
To contribute to statutory SEND processes
To act within professional boundaries and access professional development.
To ensure interventions are delivered in line with professional guidelines and evidence
To contribute to team, MDT service , OT professional , and AHP governance and development
To escalate risks, adverse events, concerns and complaints as appropriate.

- Post grad Education relevant to Children / Young People Occupational Therapy

- Recent and relevant experience working at band 5 level or above
- Recent and relevant experience working in Children's Occupational Therapy
- Multidisciplinary team working and working collaboratively with other professions and agencies
- Experience of clinical supervision both as supervisee and supervisor
- Recent experience of student training

- Experience of working at band 6 level
- Experience of specialist assessments and treatments for CYP
