We are looking to appoint a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the team to provide Intensive Home Treatment.
The successful applicant will work within the CAMHS Crisis & Intensive Home Treatment Team alongside Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Consultant Psychologist, Consultant Psychiatrist, Specialist Nurses/Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Nurse Associate and Healthcare Assistants to offer:
Training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
Experience of working with young people with emotional or mental health difficulties is desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will work as part of a MDT and support the assessment of young people, undertake care plans and provide psychological interventions relation to the young person's presenting need. They will also provide supervision to junior staff.
The team offers comprehensive induction, supervision, training and team development days.
The CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment Team work closely with our CAMHS Inspire Inpatient Service and will support young people whilst an in-patient to support early discharge. Therefore the successful candidate will be provided with additional training with regards to in-patient working to support this joint working.
The team provides a service 9:30 - 19:30 - 7 days a week. The team works 4 days per week with some weekend working.
Opportunities to work on a 6 month rotational basis with CAMHS in-patient may be available.

- 12 week intensive home treatment to prevent escalation of risk presentations and as an alternative to an inpatient admission.
- Interventions will include stabilisation work, safety and risk relapse planning, improving understanding of mental health needs, anxiety management, prevention of self harm utilising DBT, CBT, PBS, systemic practice utilising the principles of ARC trauma informed care and AMBIT
- In-reach to our acute hospital for young people admitted for physical health needs in addition to complex mental health issues
